Current Projects

Karanda Chaplaincy Project

At Karanda, the Chaplaincy works tirelessly to spread the word of God and to provide spiritual health and guidance throughout the hospital and surrounding community. The main aim of the project is to procure 2,000 Bibles a year to distribute throughout the community.

Karanda Water Project

The Karanda Community Care team is working to ensure clean and safe drinking water for all. As of 2024, the government of Zimbabwe’s policy is 34 homes per borehole, however the current situation leaves many households sharing a borehole with 50-200 other households resulting in long distances and over extraction.

Karanda’s Palliative Care Project run by the Community Care team ensures that the needs of the community are met for those where care can be provided outside of the hospital. This also includes the elderly, ensuring that they can live a normal life.

Income from goats allows for future prosperity, the ability to pay school fees and a system to pay it forward.

The Karanda Community Care team works to provide support orphan’s transition into adulthood. The team looks to promote the importance of education and would like to expand this initiative to provide access to basic education in the future.
