Our Mission Statement

Through Christ, Karanda Mission Hospital is committed to comprehensive and holistic care. We shall endeavor to provide excellent, accessible, affordable, quality and compassionate health services to all clients. The hospital shall strive to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, and psychological needs through medical care, community engagement and pastoral empowerment. All our work shall be in accordance with the national governing polices of The Ministry of Health and Child Care.

Hospital Ministry

Karanda Mission Hospital demonstrates Christ's love by providing essential healthcare to patients in need from not only across Zimbabwe but also from neighbouring Mozambique, Zambia, and Botswana . With 150 beds, it handles 4,000 surgeries each year and treats various conditions, including HIV/AIDS, serving 75,000 individuals annually. Karanda performs over 4,000 surgical cases annually and is also known for treating HIV/AIDS and its complications, TB, obstetrics, chronic disease, and trauma.

Nursing School

The Karanda School of Nursing, established in 1962, trains quality nurses in Zimbabwe to meet the country's healthcare needs.n the latest technology to new pedagogical methods, we help teachers make their classrooms engaging and successful.

Evangelical Church

The Karanda Hospital Chapel, in partnership with The Evangelical Church of Zimbabwe, serves as a place of worship and ministry for hospital patients, staff, and the local community. Through daily devotions, Bible studies, outreach programs, and collaborative evangelistic efforts, they provide spiritual support and compassionate care to both the hospital's occupants and the surrounding communities.

Community Care

The Home Based Care Program was established to provide personalized home care for patients while optimizing hospital resources. Additionally, Karanda Hospital extends support to up to 400 orphans and widows of AIDS patients, offering essential resources like school fees, clothing, and agricultural supplies, while also providing an immunization program within local communities and rural clinics.

Primary School

Karanda Primary School was established to support the families of hospital staff. Beyond academics, the school aims to cultivate strong leaders by integrating Bible classes and spiritual guidance into its curriculum, welcoming teachers from diverse educational backgrounds to join their mission.
